Dahlia runs!

crysania4I never think to take video, so here's one of Dahlia greeting me tonight! When I got home, David was out for a walk with Dahlia. I like to keep an eye out because if they appear down the block, he'll let her off lead and she can run to me. It's amazing how far away she is and still recognizes me, even without my saying a word.
Please to be ignoring my horrid voice squealing her name at the end of this (seriously, you might want to watch this with no sound on!). I SO tried to not speak but couldn't resist. Also, she rarely jumps up on me, but she was super excited and I wasn't bending down to her fast enough.

You can't tell but she came from further to the right before she appears in the video. And unfortunately she was tired as she had already done this brilliant outrun around a HUGE group of geese...a few landed back and I sent her back out! I really need to get more videos of what she does with the geese. Unfortunately they're geese though...so they kind of fly away when they see a black dog bearing down on them.

Date: 2011-03-10 06:10 pm (UTC)That sounds like an awesome deal but I'm not sure I'd need anything. We've never put a sweater or coat on her. She has such a thick coat that even when it's been -15 outside she's been ok. Any chance they're selling some nice booties? Her feet are the only thing that really bother her in the winter (salt, mostly).
